I purchased a plastic shoe box from Wal-Mart the other day and I'm planning on making a glider kitchen, but I'm wondering how you clean them? Basically, I'm moving my gliders into a rept soon, so I'll be zip-tying the kitchen down onto a shelf I'm making out of landware, but I imagine it will need to be cleaned quite frequently. So unless I buy the zip-ties that can be re-used, how would I go about this? What do you guys do?

I would clean the glider kitchen every day, along with their food bowls..so that they don't lick any old foods off of the kitchen. No tips for how to secure it though ... I just put mine on the bottom of the cage.

You could make the shelf in such a way that the kitchen sits down into it, so it doesn't slide off. dunno

I agree, though, the kitchen will very, very likely have to be cleaned everyday. Many gliders will have quite a food fight on some nights. roflmao

If we never loved, then maybe we would never feel pain. Love anyway. It's worth it.

I have to clean the one in my trio's cage at LEAST 3 times a week. Those babies are MESSY eaters! LOL Mine sits on a wire shelf and I have some baby links hooked onto the edge of the shelf so that it won't slide off... as it has done a couple of times already blush

This won't really help with a reptarium but the chinchilla bath houses have clips on the back so they can hook on to the side of a cage and won't fall off. That's why I love them!

Thanks, guys! I think I'll just go ahead and put the kitchen on the bottom of the rept. I'll use the shelf to hang toys or their wodent wheels. smile
