What I would REALLY love to see is a concerted effort to get the airlines and FAA give travel with gliders the same consideration they do with dogs (i.e., okay in cabin with appropriately secured bag that has adequate food and water for the trip).
I can see where the small size of the gliders works against them (easier for an accidental release, much harder to track them down inside the aircraft if they do get out) but it just seems nuts that you have to ship them as cargo when they could be much happier and safer at your feet in an appropriate pet travel case.
I would much rather take them with me on business travel to Virginia or Texas but I can't see spending $175 just to have them with me for a couple nights.

Too bad they would not agree to put them in the regular cabin with the understanding the cage is to have a lock placed on it by the airline so that they could not be removed during flight.
