What are you sugar gliders favorite toys? What all toys can you leave in their cage at night while you sleep? I want to keep their minds stimulated.

This may sound odd, but my Nicky's absolutely favorite toy is a chain made out of linked cable ties. He crawls through them & snags them with his tail & tries to drag them back to his pouch.
Chris Illusion, Malcom, Isabell, Annabelle, Zach, Isis, Aly & Indy AND Miss Emmy & Miss Chloe kitties
My Angels: You are always in my heart.
You've flown to the rainbow and wait there for me Someday I will join you together to be
I was wqanting to do the same thing so I posted a similair thread. And last night, there was a blurr of flying toys because I have stuck cheeri-o's on their monkeys and their plastic jax's. They went nuts finding them! I hid them in their hanging hut and on their hammok, under their barrel of monkeys lid and all over my room! They'd find one with treats on it, and stlea the treats then fling the toy and hunt for the next! It was fun to whatch and they seemed to enjoy it alot too.
[:"blue"] Yes, they are but there is no telling where you will find them in the morning. They may be anywhere from outside the cage to stuck between the bars in the bottom.
Most people, well let's just say many of us, get very frustrated wrestling the monkeys out of the bars and tight places so end up just taking them away from the gliders But they do seem to enjoy them [/]
Gimmesomesugar has great toys and Kara is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met in my life! I have vowed to only buy from her when I buy toys because of what a sincere and great person! All of he rtoys are raved about and she's always thinking up new ones.
Mine really like branches to climb and chew on (glider safe of course) they LOVE monkey's, they like chains of cheerios, they also really like my youngest sons peekablocks and peekaballs. I think maybe because there's fun looking things in them but they can't get to it!

she holds it like a steering wheel and chews and chews.

Please be careful she doesn't get it wrapped around her neck, I know mine would the way they roll and turn..

This question depends on which glider in my little cage-o-joy:
Sol: He likes the Bells the most. He tries to take the pendulum in the bell out while holding onto the chain for the bell with his back paws.
Moon: She likes the Pearches from www.callejean.com. She mostly likes to hang from the pearch while chewing on the lengths of Wunder Chain, or binkys.
Cloud: He likes to play with the Fleece Vine. He will crawl all over it and try to discover what is in the center of the vine.
Sky: Food Bowls. She has a habit if knocking them off the side of the cage after the gliders are done eating whatever is in them. She also likes the Nature's Cluster toy: http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_d...025505&Ne=2

What exactly are peekablocks and peekaballs? Do you have a picture?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOOOO HOOOO, WHAT A RIDE!!!
My little one loves Pringle cans! I have a rope that goes across his cage, and I put the can on it. Every night he plays in it and at times he takes his naps in it! I also have another one on the floor of his cage that I made a fleece sleeve for. That quickly turned into his nap area. lol.
The peekablock are cute. Thanks for the pic Julie and the explanation Jaimee. Do they really like them? That just really surprises me. How exactly do they use them?
My two adults run in their Stealth a bit and every morning their bunnies (barrel of monkeys) are on the floor but I don't know what they do with them. I have tree branches in their cage and hang the bunnies all over them.

Paula0442, I have never really seen mine play with the peekablocks, but late at night I hear them moving the blocks all over the place!
Mine love my mobiles. They have a feather tassle in the middle so it is fun to watch them hang from the rings and play with it, they also love to wrestle with the hangy toys, it is so cute.
My guys LOVE straws! No matter where I put them they drag them around and fling them everywhere. Sometimes I'll put a mealie or another treat in one and they go bonkers trying they get it out.... keeps them occupied for hours

I guess here's one of those rare times I don't like the sugar glider cage I have. It has bars on the bottom (just like the top and sides) and then the litter tray underneath to keep them out of it.
BUT this means toys like straws would also fall down.
Lynsie, your mobiles are so cute!! I am gonna have to buy one as soon as I get some extra cash!
about the straws.... is there any particular detail about the straw or u just use the types u can find anywhere?? just worried bout it being toxic bla bla yadda yadda

i just use staws that we get in packs of anywhere between 100-500 at walmart. (i figured it out once when i took them all out of the bag and set them on top of the cage for a quick second (they were going to be a arts and craft thing for my youngest cousins) and i forgot. the next morning the gliders pouch was stuffed with straws, straws were all overthe room, in the wheel, everything.) i never thought about them being toxic before...
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
The aim of education should be to teach us how to think rather than what to think.
The difference in involvement and commitment is like a ham omelet. The chicken was involved. The pig was committed.
