ive been wanting to post this as a long time glider owner. these things have crossed my mind. for the past 10 yrs of glider ownership i always believe we can never be too careful. even though i know my gliders are in their cage i always check the washer and dryer before turning it on. i always shake out each item and open it up before putting it in the washer. even though i know my gliders are in their cage. its just a good habit to get into. same with the cages. even though i have 3 secure locks. i always use twist ties as an additional security device. in case one of the 3 would break. always be one step ahead in thinking about what could happen if?? when letting them out always do a count when out and when going back to cage. use one glider proof room and get strips for the door so they cant go under it. count each one thats out and then as they go back. it will save you alot of suffering on your own and for the glider. also, make sure your cats or dogs cannot enter the glider room. use caution at all times like having a loaded gun. especially when there are kids or young people who can even trip or fall on the glider. i take one glider out at a time.

I also always check the washer and dryer before using it, and then go to the boys twice to make sure they are safe. It is no effort to double check and be careful, it's a habit like brushing your teeth everyday.
