I've read a lot about hamster toys being too small for gliders but does anyone use ferret toys? I'm really thinking along the lines of the ferret tubes. I don't want to put them in their cages but rather use them during tent time.

I think that ferret toys would be fine, cause they're so big, if your suggies would go in it.

both our pairs like to get into everything. They like to nose into any small space they can get into lol. So I figured this would be a safe "alternative" for them to play in and I can keep a close eye on them. Plus, I found some really great ferret toys that I could hide mealies in and let them get to

Mine loved to go onto tubes made of cardboard (the ones that held christmas paper) But it was crazy trying to get them out. We had to coax them out with mealies. They were like ha ha mommy and daddy...you cant get us now.

The only thing to take into consideration is cleaning. I don't have any ferrets (or ferret tubes more to the point), but I would *think* they might be a toughie to clean.

I gave Ringo some plastic easter eggs today. As I look to my right, she's happily playing with them- trying to open them up. I also hung one from the top of the cage- she's going crazy trying to figure out how it's up there

the ferret tubes can be easily taken apart for cleaning (that's the only reason I was even really interested in them) I just wanted to make sure they are really all that safe for gliders. I had considered a few of the plastic hamster playtoys I saw but I'm going to have to go measure them width-wise first before I even consider getting those.

Hmmmm...knowing now that they are easy to clean, methinks I'm going to have to find a holiday for some surprise gifts. Isn't Secretary's Day coming up? Now I need to figure out the justification for a gift that day...how about, they always let me know what I need to do? A few minutes ago they crabbed to let me know that the next thing on my agenda was to praise them and FEED THEM MEALIES!!! Yup, that sounds about right--only, I don't think I'm the boss here!
