One of my girls did a tail dance at one, while Fuzzy (even though neutered) decided to tell it who was boss and do his shakey butt marking dance on his, the other cage was like "pffft! You are one crazy human if you think I am going to touch that thing!"

It was funny as their 11 year old budding artist saves them to make jewelery from. I suspect I may be getting a chicken bone necklace for Christmas!

The marrow should be really good for them nutrition-wise.
The only problem I would see with giving them rotisserie or other meats that have been flavored before cooked would be that sometimes when they are cooked they inject the flavoring inside of the meat so that the whole thing taste good inside and out. My uncle used to be a chef and did this all the time to his meats. He still does. But if you are making it yourself and not doing that I wouldn't see a reason not to give just it to them. You can wash it before to be double safe. And of course watch for any signs your glider has splintered it. If they have and you can't find the splinters then they need to see a vet asap.

I also agree with Alden. My gliders know what they need. I offer a variety of foods to them (ones that go with their HPW diet). Sometimes they will eat more of one thing than the others. Also, when my females have joeys ip or are nursing they seem to crave extra protein. It's just like a pregnant woman. They will usually crave something their body is lacking (not talking about ice cream and junk foods!).

When I give mine turkey necks, I cut the neck apart, so that each bone segment is a separate piece.

I've watched two gliders in a tug-of-war over one piece. Neither gave an inch. No noise - no snarling, growling or crabbing. Just and eye-to-eye, mouth-to-mouth stare down to see who would back down first. Two bundles of fuzz locked in a glare-contest! Of course, all the while, there's another piece in the bowl!

Of course, the male backed down first. The females always win. Our poor glider males are SO hen-pecked! When I feed good treats, I can hear the chorus of "Yes, Dear."

Interesting, I hope someone comes along with an answer. I would also worry about the splinters.
I know for humans it helps maintain a healthy cholesterol level, act as an Anti-inflammatory and a strong immune system.
Beef bone marrow has high cholesterol, I wonder if the marrow of a chicken bone is too fatty?

While it would be an excellent source of calcium, I wonder if the fattiness of the marrow, would make it a rare treat only?
