Hey all, I have one male now in quarranteen and another one in a couple weeks that will be in quarranteen. I would love to do tent time, but I can't use my girls' Genji since the boys are in quarranteen. I was thinking about buying an extra Genjo to use for the male I have now and then when he's out of quarranteen then I wanted to sanitize it somehow and use it for the next guy in quarranteen. Is there a way to sanitize these things? What if I filled my bathtub up with a bleach solution and put it in there (it would probably have to be folded up mostly to get it in the water). Any other ideas? Then when Kokanee (the one I have now) is out of quarranteen, then he can use the Genji that I currently have and also use for the girls.
Thanks for your help!

I am wondering if we can use a solution of Chlorhexidine. It is the active ingredient in Hibiclens. When I was at my vet's office last time I looked at the bottle of solution that she uses to spray on herself/her steth, etc. in between my gliders. It was Chlorhexidine. I need to ask her if there is a specific dilution required. I can let you know! Oh, I looked it up and it is a chemical antiseptic and kills bacteria.

what we would be more concerned with is killing parasites IMO. yes you can santize via soaking in a 10% bleach solution and rinsing letting dry OR the wager905 steamer would be perfect IMHO ;)i throw things in my bathtub all the time to sanitize. bleach breaks down after 30 minutes starts to degrade so 20 minutes should suffice, turn shower on rinse..pop open let dry. or again the steamer but honestly would be quicker with a bath soak hope this helps.

You can steam clean it - easy peasy. I use my steam cleaner to sanitize mine frequently.

So the steam cleaner would kill Giardia well?
I have the wagner 905. What attachment would you use? Maybe the plate for wall paper removal because there is more surface area??
Maybe to be safe I will do a bleack soak, rinse, and let dry. THEN steam clean.

Oh, and the steam cleaner wouldn't melt any part of the tent would it?
