It seems that everytime my girls are acting "weird" I come on here and someone else is mentioning how their gliders were acting strange or "not themselves" or other such wording.

For example: Every once in a while my gliders will have a night where they want nothing to do with me. Not only that, but it seems during those times they are actually scared of me. They do the "snake tail" dance when they get near me. If I move even a little they run away. To me it seems like they are acting a little paranoid.

Some days I can't make them leave me alone. They will just pick a part of me and groom...and groom and groom. No amount of trying to distract them works. It usually turns to them nipping every part of me they can. Toes, elbow, ears...my eyelid once.

..And then "poof" the next day everything is back to normal.

I am starting to wonder if it has anything to do with moon phases, or weather patterns, the time of the year...etc.

Has there ever been a study done (formal or informal)on the behavior of gliders relating to any of these things??
I would be interested to read it or interested in participating in a study of this kind.

I agree, we have noticed this also. Sure would be interesting, if not conclusive

It seems that all these things do indeed effect out glider's moods and eating habits as well.

Also barametric pressure changes can effect them (or atleast do mine).

With fuller moons, there is more outside light coming through the windows and mine tend to bark more.

With rapid barametric changes, they tend to stay in their pouches more, play less, eat less.

There have been threads in the past where people have discussed what changes their gliders go through.

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
