My mom bought two food dishes and two water bottles. Is that really needed? If not then its a way for us to save some money. And if we do need them both, then should we have them both in there at once?

I bought the plastic plates at Walmart that have the sectioned portions. They are four for a dollar. I use one for each glider, even the ones in a cage together. Some gliders I think do fine eating together, and some you have to seperate to give both a chance to eat, it depends on if you have a "food hog" or not. Hope that helps and good luck!

Amanda, I have both of your babies together in a cage right now and they have been sharing the food in one bowl. However, having two bowls is a great idea. You may want to keep one bowl at hand just in case if a first bowl breaks, or if one glider becomes a hog, though I seriously doubt it will happen. I have extra bowls at hand, just in case.

Two water bottles are always a great idea. Once, when my husband and I met with someone to pick up a glider and I bought a water bottle. We brought the glider home and got him fed and all settled in. The next morning, I found the water bottle empty! It leaked! That same day we took it back and told them it was a leaky bottle and replaced with another. So, it is always a good idea to have an extra water bottle. Better be safe than sorry!

I have two dishes in there every night.
One with BML and vegetables and the other with fruits.
One water bottle.

I have 4 dishes and 6 water bottles. For some reason my are a tad bit picky as to what bottle they like. hmmm I dont know why they are this way it's not cuz they are spoiled or anything oh wait yes it is

I have three bowls in two food kitchens; one bowl has the BML in one kitchen (because it's so messy) and the other two bowls for fruits and veggies in a second, larger kitchen. I have two water bottles on their cage, one in my purse, one on my desk where I work, one in the back room when I'm relaxing with them... That's only because I'm lazy to carry the one water bottle around with me. But I definitely like leaving the one in my purse because I sometimes forget and don't ever want them to be without water (especially in Phoenix in the summer).

Wow, maybe I have a lot of food bowls for my 2 girls: I usually have one for fruit, one for veggies, one for protein, and 2 with fresh ZooKeeper's. And I want to get a 2nd water bottle to ensure they always are able to find water when they need it. SOMETIMES I will combine some things on a paper plate instead of separating everything.
It may sound like a lot of work, but each morning I dump all extras and put the bowls in a hot soapy sink. Not too bad for my suggies .

I have three gliders in one cage, and I use three bowls and three water bottles. I just want to be sure I prevent fighting over food, and the extra bottles are just an "in case" thing. I would hate to have only one bottle in there and have it leak, leaving them without water.

[:"green"]Amanda,
As you can see, it really varies depending on what you're comfortable with. Some people use multiple feeding bowls & bottles, and others use just one... Once you have your gliders, you'll be able to decide.

We have one bottle per cage, but one food dish in their kitchen per glider.. so the trio get 3 a night and the pair get 2..

I feed with one dish per cage a night… but I have several dishes that I use…lol… the dirty ones go in the dish washer so that I do not have to wash them every day…lol… but it is personal choice and depends on your gliders too…
