im not sure... a paper towel can be too rough and a tissues aloe or soften ingredients could cause harm too... but if you wanted to use fleece?? Maybe?

My glider's usually go to the potty about 45 second's after waking up,... or ME waking them up so I do not see a use for this. They pretty much go on que once they are woken up.

You might wanna try picking a specific location in the cage and putting them on it right when they wake up. If they pee outside the cage/on you, pick them up and put them on the same spot in the cage again right away.
I did this with my glider when I first got him, and he almost never has an accident outside the cage now. He jumps off me and runs to the cage to potty - he even runs down the hall to get back to the cage if he needs to go (it's so funny looking). I just put him on his potty branch before he comes out every time. Might just have gotten lucky, but I think it's possible to direct them to a certain spot if you know they're going to have to potty when they first wake up.

I let my gliders run around the cage before I pick them up for playtime, or to be put into a bonding pouch. I personally don't mind to much being peed on by the little guys I mean you only need to change your shirt, and it happens to everyone. Eventually they WILL get you! lol

We have a wee wee shirt that we put on as soon as it's playtime. After everyone is done with all of their business on the shirt, Casper will take it off and we all play!
I have also noticed that my one boy will only go on one spot in his cage, while his cage mate will dribble all over.
We don't have to stimulate them, they will go pretty quickly on the shirt once they are up and awake.
