What is carefresh, others might know but at least I have no idea so a link or more of an explanation would be helpful.

I would be concerned that he will ingest some of the litter.

I would not use any type of loose litter unless the cage has a bottom grate over the cage pan that is high enough to keep the glider from reaching down to pick up food dropped in the litter.

Cleaning the cage pan to remove food scraps daily or at least every 2 days is best to keep from attracting fruit flies and ants.

Most owners do not use litter of any kind but may line the cage pan with paper for easy removal of food scraps and glider waste. Others just wipe out the the cage pan with water or water & vinegar.

I prefer plain paper sheets in my cage pans. I buy pre-cut sheets from Foster & Smith. I can quickly just roll up the paper to throw out all the scraps and waste and replace it with a clean sheet.

I would put only a very small amount of the CareFresh in the pan so it will be harder for your glider to reach and so that you do not have quite as much to discard every few days to completely clean the cage pan.

I would not want my glider picking up a piece of food he dropped that was covered with litter that had been sitting for many days soaking up urine.

I expect the litter will get pretty expensive if you are throwing away large amounts 2 or 3 times a week.
