So when I made our giant PVC cage, I didn't realize how difficult it would be to keep clean. We have a 5 month old that is starting to crawl and I've got to figure something out or get a new cage. We currently use a steamer and an enzyme spray but it still stinks. I don't know what to do. It's too big to take outside (and we live in an apartment anyway) or hose down in the tub. Any suggestions? We put $200+ into it. I'd hate to get rid of it.

I use vinegar and water solution to clean my glider's cage for wipe downs every couple of weeks. I use a steamer additionally every few months. I'm not sure if that helps you, but you could try it on the pvc.

I have had a pvc cage for 3 years I generally take it out once a month and hose it down with soapy waterand rinse it. Once a week I use my little steamer on all my cages and I spay them down with vinegar and water before I change out liners everyday. sometimes I add baking soda to the vinegar when I have dueling stinky males
