Does anybody have a glider that doesn't like toys? Stuey won't play with his at all. They just are in his cage for looks now I guess. lol He doesn't like climbing either though, so maybe I just have a weird little critter. Hmmm.

I have a glider that does not like toys either - it does not matter what I put in her cage she refuses to play with anything. I think that maybe it is because the place that I got her from never played with her and never gave her any toys in her cage.

Some gliders are like that. The trick is finding a toy that interest them. Some gliders like things that swing, some like things that hang, others like things they can hind under/inside of. I've noticed that when I have my gliders in groups, they teach eachother to play with the different toys and soon all of the gliders will play with the different toys. You could try teaching your glider to play with the toys you have. Maybe try setting him on them or playing with it yourself a bit and seeing if he comes over to check it out.

For a long time mine didn't seem at all interested either. Then one night it was like they couldn't get enough of the toys. Favorites are anything with bells! seems the noisier the better!

When I got my 2 gliders they came in a small cage with no toys. So I went and got them a big cage and lots of toys right away and one of them, Biscuit, went right to playing but the other,Bitsy, would ignore everything. Just about a week ago Bitsy started turning the wheel with his front paws and watching it spin, he did it every night for a week and last night he finally got in and he loved it! I think some gliders just take more time to come around to new things. I'm glad that he has found something he likes and that I just left it in the same place and let him get used to it.
