Hi
I have been cleaning my cages forever with vinegar and water. I have Candida and absolutely can t have white vinegar or sugar. It just dawned on me why I’m not getting better. Since your skin is your largest organ, I’m just soaking it in.
Anyway, does anyone have a cleaner I can use without chemicals

I know some people use Dawn dish soap, but that needs to be rinsed off thoroughly.

I use a 1pt vinegar to 2pt water solution in a spray bottle. Then I spray a sponge (2 sided: one side foamy/other side scrubby) that I get from the dollar store. I cannot say that I never get any on my skin, but I don't believe it's that much. I know that I'm also not suffering from anything that is aggravated by vinegar though. Perhaps you could try wearing disposable gloves when cleaning with v/w solution. I'm sorry that I really am not aware of anything else that I would use.

I clean my cage every other week and the wheel at least once a week but my cage still smells. I use Dawn and Vinegar. Any suggestions?
