I just placed my order for bee pollen from Stakich - but now confused on how best to store the bee pollen. I ordered the 1 lb. jar and I know the jar is going to last me a loooong time - so what's the best way to store it so it doesn't spoil? and how long can I keep the bee pollen before it needs to be tossed?

The bee pollen is generally good for 2 years (from packing) if stored properly (which is good because I bought a 1lb jar about a year ago & am just over halfway through it) Like I said, I bought mine about a year ago & the exp. is 02/07 - as with any supplement, you want to keep it out of light & humidity. The cupboard or pantry is fine.

I buy in bulk from the health food store and I keep mine in the freezer, with my wambaroo and acacia gum.

In the freezer? hmmm... maybe I'll just shoot an e-mail to Stakich and see what they recommend. I do know though that I contacted Womabaroo re: their suppliments and they said to keep them in the fridge - not the freezer

Oh, please let me know what they say about the bee pollen. I was told to put it all in the freezer to extend the self life. But with 9 piggy gliders, I don't need to extend it much I will move it to the fridge just to be safe. Thanks

I just got a reply from Stakich. They said to keep the bee pollen in the fridge and if stored properly, is good for two years. Tbull - if I were you, I'd definately move your Wombaroo suppliments to the fridge too
