I just placed my order for bee pollen from Stakich - but now confused on how best to store the bee pollen.

I ordered the 1 lb. jar and I know the jar is going to last me a loooong time - so what's the best way to store it so it doesn't spoil? and how long can I keep the bee pollen before it needs to be tossed? dunno

The bee pollen is generally good for 2 years (from packing) if stored properly (which is good because I bought a 1lb jar about a year ago & am just over halfway through it) Like I said, I bought mine about a year ago & the exp. is 02/07 - as with any supplement, you want to keep it out of light & humidity. The cupboard or pantry is fine.

I buy in bulk from the health food store and I keep mine in the freezer, with my wambaroo and acacia gum.

In the freezer? hmmm... maybe I'll just shoot an e-mail to Stakich and see what they recommend.

I do know though that I contacted Womabaroo re: their suppliments and they said to keep them in the fridge - not the freezer thumb

Oh, please let me know what they say about the bee pollen. I was told to put it all in the freezer to extend the self life. But with 9 piggy gliders, I don't need to extend it much wink

I will move it to the fridge just to be safe.
Thanks

I just got a reply from Stakich. They said to keep the bee pollen in the fridge and if stored properly, is good for two years.

Tbull - if I were you, I'd definately move your Wombaroo suppliments to the fridge too agree

Bee Pollen and the HPW should not be placed in the freezer. Just put them in the fridge and if you use enough of the Bee pollen, you can store that in a cool dry place and it will stay fresh as well. thumb
