I would just like to take a min. to say good bye to my first and only glider and best friend Kiyo. He was a great pet and i loved him very much but unfortunatly i had to say goodbye to him late last night around 12 mid night. I was going to bed when a heard some noises and awoke to see my glider in mid flight as he landed on the ground a got up and jumped to grab him but before i could my dog snatched him. my mom and i got in the car and speed to the ER-vet at 20 miles over the speed limit. we got there and the lady at the counter had no idea wut a suggie was. so she took for ever writing down all the info and my sugar glider kiyo just looked at me and i swear he smiled and with that last breath i knew he was dead. the lady then took him me still dening that he was dead and sat down in the chair to hear wut the vet said and the lady called my mom back and i sat alone. i heard the vet and my mom talking. i watched the door open and my mom came out and looked sad. she looked at me and just shook her head. i bursted out of the door and ran out side as fast as i could all i wanted to do was die. but my mom came out also and just said sorry. and handed me a box with my little kiyo in side. i hoped it was a dream but woke up the next morning and kiyo was still dead. he had only been in my house for a month but i knew he loved it im going to miss him so much i hope hes happy where he is now. as for me i hope to get another glider soon and treat him with care just like Kiyo...but i hope to name him Kiyo Jr. and as for my dog she has a new home in the garage

Im so sorry you lost your baby. Please remember the dog was acting out of instinct, not being malicious. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet to another beloved pet and I also know how hard it is to watch it happen. The dog does not know she did anything wrong. Time will heal your wounds and hurt, and little Kiyo is watching over you!

Wow! I am so sorry for your loss!! ~hugs~ Just know Kiyo is watching over you at the Rainbow Bridge and knows that it wasnot your fault at what happened. As others said, it was not your dog's fault either. It is just a natural instinct....

I am so sorry...

I understand how you feel, I had something similar happen 12 years ago when I was a little girl between my dad's dog and a ferret, I never forgave the dog, and it took a few months to forgive my dad. I didn't care if it was instinct or not But, she didn't (the dog) mean too either and ur dog still needs ur love. I am so sorry this happened, no matter how perfectly careful you are accidents do happen, so please don't be too hard on urself or ur dog. I know it'll be hard and take some time but try to forgive her, because she does need that same luv u gave ur glider. Sending you many hugs...

*hugs and love* I have 2 suggies of my own, as well as 2 ferrets and 3 cats. I do not let my cats in my bedroom (partially due to allergies) and when my ferrets get playtime every day in my bedroom, my suggies get moved into another room. But sometimes, no matter how much we plan, accidents happen. Your baby is across the bridge, dancing and watching out for you.
